Our commitment to community goes beyond what we build.

Lindsay Construction is a founding partner of the Building Futures for Youth Program, an initiative of the Construction Association of Nova Scotia in conjunction with the Department of Education, NSCC and Apprenticeship Nova Scotia where high school students gain work experience in the industry during their summer break. Since its inception close to a decade ago, Lindsay has supported the program by hiring numerous students.

In addition, Lindsay funds two NSCC scholarships annually.

Lindsay Construction is a proud builder and supporter of the Dalhousie University IDEA (Innovation and Design in Engineering and Architecture) Building. In this building, you’ll find brightly lit innovation spaces, state-of-the-art prototyping workshops, and other cutting-edge facilities, all designed to generate new ideas and encourage more hands-on work and collaboration across disciplines and with private industry.

We are proud to support this transformative project with a gift that helps position the Dalhousie University Sexton Campus as a leader in environmental sustainability.

This annual event was co-founded by Cory Bell in honour of his sister Heidi MacRae who passed away from cancer in 2009. For this event, participants of all ages come together on the St. Margaret’s Bay Rails to Trails as walkers, runners and cyclists to raise funds and awareness for cancer research.

Now entering its sixth year, the event has raised over $650,000 for various Atlantic Canadian cancer charities, has drawn participation from over 1,000 people and has become an annual highlight for families across the region.

Through an exciting evening of food, entertainment, and spectacular auction items, The Great Big Dig is one of the region’s most anticipated fundraisers for the IWK Health Centre. Held each November, the event has generated over $3.1 million in the past 16 years to purchase much needed hospital equipment.

Lindsay Construction President & CEO Cory Bell has served as Past Chair of the event and the company is proud to have made annual pledges to this important cause.

The new Discovery Centre in downtown Halifax is a shared space where science and technology delights, unites, and ignites. Lindsay Construction shares the Discovery Centre’s passion to spark enthusiasm for STEAM and inspire a future full of innovation and prosperity.

As the proud builder of this unique showcase, we are pleased to have made a gift to the Discovery Centre and to have helped establish the Lindsay Construction Orientation Gallery.
